In the UK, 13–19 million people over the age of 16 are estimated to be in digital poverty, meaning they can’t interact with the online world fully, when, where, and how they need to.
But charities can be a vital point of contact for people who are digitally excluded, improving their access to essential services, information and entertainment, education and work, and friends, family, and society.
Developed with support from Okta and the Connecting Scotland Digital Inclusion Fund, our free online module ‘Achieving digital inclusion’ guides you through how your community could be affected by digital exclusion, how to improve access to services, devices, and connection, and how to ensure digital accessibility, boost digital skills, and build digital confidence.
