Workshop overview

Join us to learn about a range of free or low cost online tools to support collaboration with your team, stakeholders, or audiences.

With many of us continuing to work remotely from home and delivering activities online, how can we continue to effectively collaborate both internally and externally? Admittedly harder, it’s still possible to recreate the buzz of a face to face meeting, post it note exercise or water cooler moments using some key online tools.

This session will introduce a range of digital tools including real time document editing, chat and conversation, data collection and interactive whiteboard tools.

We will demo the online tools and build in some hands-on interactive time throughout the session so you get a chance to try them out, enabling you to better identify what will work for your heritage organisation and gain the confidence to implement in your own work.

Session dates & times:

  • Tuesday, 27th April: England - South East, South West, London
  • 14:00 - 16:00 (BST)

Cost: Free. Maximum of 20 delegates.

Workshop requirements/who is this workshop for?

  • This course is for anyone who works for a smaller heritage charity or community group and wants to learn about and try some digital tools to help them collaborate with others online
  • Open to all types of Heritage organisations
  • Participants will need to join from a laptop or PC to be able to effectively participate in the hands-on exercises, so we ask that applicants have access to either of these
  • We’ll try our best to give you a good classroom experience. Please join with video and bring your ideas, creativity, and challenges to share

Application procedure:

Please complete the short application form in the ‘Apply Now’ tab.

Applications will be open until 15:00 (BST) on 20th April, however if the volume of applications is high before this date, we will close the application form. With up to 20 spaces available, we’ll be looking to ensure that those taking part are those who most need the training content, as well as ensuring that we are offering training to a range of heritage types.

Successful applicants will be informed by 22nd April and will be sent joining instructions after this date. Should accepted applicants find they are unable to make the workshop nearer the date, we do ask that we are informed as soon as possible, so that the place on this training may be offered to another applicant.
