#BeMoreDigital Conference 2022
HOLD THE DATE
#BeMoreDigital Conference 2023 - 9 March 2023
What happened at #BeMoreDigital 2022?
We were delighted to bring back the #BeMoreDigital Conference to the charity sector in person on 30 June 2022 at Novotel West.
The conference launched in 2019 and was created by charities, for charities to help build confidence and skills for wherever your charity is on its digital transformation journey. In 2020, we welcomed over 300 charity professionals to Olympia London for a jam-packed day of learning, networking and skill-building, with a programme of 4 streams carefully curated to support charities of all shapes, sizes, and missions.
This year we were joined after a hard few years by over 200 charity attendees engaging with 32 charity speakers, 27 sessions and 15 tech exhibitors. Sessions covered a wide range of topics, including Impact, Small charities, Fundraising, Marketing, Strategy, Tech, & Data, as well as a keynote session from our headline sponsors Salesforce.org.
The programme was CPD (Continuing Professional Development) accredited, meaning charity leaders and professionals could add the sessions they attend as credits to professional development courses.

Why delegates attended the #BeMoreDigital Conference 2022?
The #BeMoreDigital Conference is a tech event created by charities for charities to build skills and confidence for organisations at all stages of digital maturity.
Here are 4 reasons why delegates attended the #BeMoreDigital Conference 2022
1. Themes determined by the charity sector
The agenda and themes were created by analysing trends and talking to charities to understand challenges in the sector. Here’s what made up our agenda.
Fundraising & Marketing - How can becoming more digital grow my organisation? By using the right digital tools for your organisation, in the right way, at the right time. The lifeblood of our organisations, this theme will be exploring the latest trends in fundraising and marketing including case studies on community fundraising, the role of data in building donor audiences, donor user journeys and persona, and much more.
Strategy, tech & data - This theme will focus on how charities can develop skillsets and mindsets that match the technology needed to #BeMoreDigital. Sessions will look at replacing legacy technology, how to improve ROI to boards and leaders, a panel discussion around the forgotten parts of your digital strategy, and examples of how charities are using data to drive better services to their users.
Impact - Learn about some of the latest tech advancements delivering services, hear from other charities about how they’re making digital changes to provide a better service to their beneficiaries, and join a session on how organisation are showcasing impact in new and exciting ways.
Small charities - Smaller organisations make up over 95% of charities in England and Wales and we have a theme dedicated specifically to how small charities can #BeMoreDigital. Attendees can join peer led sessions around how small charities can act like large charities using digital, how to grow your organisation using social media on a budget, and how you can use Lego to help you be more cyber secure.
2. Interactive workshops
In addition to our sessions, we added 6 interactive workshops to the agenda. Workshops focused on building key digital skills that delegates could take back to their organisation and share with colleagues, leaders, and boards. Our workshops included how to build donor user journeys, how to start the right conversations around data, and how to pivot your small charity service to work digitally.
3. Networking with 250 peers
The best part of the day was being able to bring charity professionals together again in a physical setting. Attendees talked to peers about their digital initiatives, challenges, and solutions in the networking breaks, lunch, and dedicated drinks reception.
4. The conference is accessible to all through our travel bursary
For a third year, we were able to offer attending charities a bursary to travel to our conference venue in London. We helped over 30 organisations access all that our conference had to offer by covering travel expenses.
