Charities and the public are being invited to help improve an artificial intelligence powered cancer support service.
Community interest company Cancer Central launched in October to signpost patients to organisations that can offer a range of advice, from counselling and respite care to hats, wigs and skincare products.
This month it is looking for help to boost the range of advice and support on offer via its artificial intelligence
digital employee Ave.
has been launched to help train Ave to ensure it is able to answer a greater range of questions about cancer support.
is also looking for businesses and charities that provide products or support for those with cancer to register for free to boost the range of options.
“Ave is learning. We all have different questions and even if we have the same question, we ask it differently. We need your help to train Ave with all variations so that she can help and guide those in need,”said Avril Chester, Cancer Central Founder and Chief Executive Officer.
Cancer Central was launched by individuals and organisations giving their time for free, including from online donations platform Givey
