Our #BeMoreDigital Strategy Day returns on 8 July 2021 with a jam-packed schedule full of brilliant sessions and interactive workshops to help you prepare for the future
Charity Digital’s Strategy Day is the latest in our series of #BeMoreDigital events. The completely free one-day event takes place on 8 July 2021.
The #BeMoreDigital Strategy Day includes industry experts delivering five brilliant sessions, allowing attendees to gain insight from leaders in the field. The sessions will equip charity professionals with the right tools to plan for the future, helping them to prepare a robust long-term digital strategy for the post-COVID-19 landscape.
There will also be several application-only interactive workshops, which will explore strategy in detail, offer some unique takeaways, and give you the chance to really get involved.
The #BeMoreDigital Strategy Day will also have options for autonomous virtual networking on Remo, allowing charity workers to connect with likeminded professionals. Remo offers attendees the chance to use virtual ‘business cards’ that hold your information, which means you can share your knowledge and learn from other members of the charity and tech sectors.
The #BeMoreDigital Strategy Day is the perfect opportunity to find out the importance of digital strategy and take away vital learnings that will help your charity prepare for the future.
The brave new world is digital. And charities need to embrace the digital.
COVID-19 shifted so many elements of charity operations towards the virtual, from fundraising to service delivery, volunteer management to marketing. The period of digital transformation proved broadly successful, with many charities rising to the challenge, allowing them to find cost-efficient and effective digital solutions.
But, in certain areas, the transformation seemed rushed. The necessity of shifting to digital almost overnight undermined planning, leaving some charities unprepared. And many charities still do not have adequate processes to quickly adapt to demands. According to the 2020 Digital Skills Report, for example, 51% of charities do not have a digital strategy in place.
As COVID-19 settles and a sense of normality emerges, successful charities of the future will need to build on digital successes, learn from failures, and plan for a robust digital future. They will need to keep new challenges front of mind and approach them strategically.
Charities should plan for the future of hybrid working, hybrid events, hybrid fundraising, and hybrid everything else. They need to think carefully about cyber security, particularly with the new risks that accompany remote working. They need to prioritise agile working, too, making sure staff and volunteers are ready to meet the demands of the moment.
In short, charities need to embrace digital strategy. Now more than ever, charities across the UK should prioritise preparedness. They should make smart and considered digital choices to secure long-term success. They should plan, prepare, and ensure that they use digital effectively to support staff, volunteers, service users, and everyone else involved.
