Tech Trust has announced that it is changing its name to Charity Digital (registered charity name Charity Digital Trust). The organisation will continue to deliver the same valuable services for the UK charity sector
, but under a new name.
Since 2013 charities have been inspired and informed through online content platform Charity Digital News, the primary source of useful insight, news and advice on digital technology for the UK charity sector. Charity Digital Jobs
was launched in 2018 and is the only UK jobs board dedicated to charity sector digital roles.
The Charity Digital Exchange
software donation and discount platform, which has so far saved over 32,000 UK charities more than £250 million in tech purchases, will become Charity Digital Exchange.
The new name change will come into effect this week across all Charity Digital's websites. Customers of any of Charity Digital's services don't need to re-register or take any action.
A consistent new face
Charity Digital better reflects all the services it runs such as Charity Digital News and Charity Digital Jobs, bringing them together under the same recognisable brand name.
The new name will bring together all the ways in which Charity Digital (formerly Tech Trust) helps charities, making it easier for charities to find and access all the different services they need, from recruitment to software to digital advice.
This week's name change is the start of some exciting changes to come in 2019 which will expand on the organisation's mission of improving access to digital services, tools, advice, expertise and talent for all charities in the UK.
Charity Digital CEO Jonathan Chevallier says: “I’m really excited about the change to Charity Digital. However, rather than the end of a re-brand process, the name change represents the start of a period of significant change for us as we migrate to a new platform which will make it easier for charities to interact with us and for Charity Digital to extend its reach and impact in the voluntary sector.”
