Tech firms supplying office management and remote working tools are increasingly offering free support to charities working to help communities affected by the pandemic.
Work management tool Asana has become the latest software firm to offer free licences to charities working to help slow the spread of coronavirus.
Asana has made the move to support efforts to support affected communities as well as stop the spread of coronavirus, which is also known as COVID19.
This offer has also been made due to the expected rise in home working among charities and to provide software support to charity workers working remotely.
A dedicated COVID-19 web page has been created for charities to apply for the free licences.
“We know that keeping teams aligned is top of mind for organisations around the world right now as they adapt their working arrangements to slow the spread of COVID-19,” said Mark Arnoldy, Head of Global Customer Success at Asana.
“For the many teams who are making the shift to remote work (including our own), it’s more important than ever to stay coordinated and provide the clarity needed to move work forward, no matter where you may be working.
“That’s why we’re committed to supporting you and your team during this time of uncertainty.”

This week, file-sharing firm Dropbox extended its one month’s free subscription to three months for charities working to support those affected by coronavirus and in efforts to stop its spread.
“We’re deeply saddened for those who have lost loved ones, and for those in our communities who are ill,” said a statement from Dropbox.
“We would like to do our part to help during this crisis.”
This week the World Health Organisation officially designated coronavirus a pandemic due to its global spread.
