This includes the launch of eBay UK’s first Women at Work report, which surveyed women about their attitudes to work.
Almost half (48%) of women think it is important to have another female at work they can talk to about a challenging situation. A similar proportion (45%) believe a solid support group of women at work is important.
Just under a fifth (16%) said they look to former US first lady Michelle Obama for inspiration.
A fifth only spend £200 a year on their work wardrobe, was among other findings. The clothes women feel most confident in include jeans and a t-shirt, which is mentioned by 40% of those surveyed. One in ten feel most confident in yoga gear.
“We’re pleased to celebrate International Women’s Day with our first Women at Work report. With this report and our eBay for Charity partnership with Dress for Success, we aim to understand what inspires and drives women in the work place and continue to advocate for female empowerment, advancement and equality,” said Murray Lambell, Vice President of Trading at eBay UK
