A charity set up to support children of armed forces personnel has launched an online competition to find the best images of military families.
The Little Troopers
charity wants military families to send in their photos to their website for use in their 2020 calendar.
The aim is to show images that capture the bond between military parents and their children.

A total of 13 images will be selected for the calendar and the three best photos will win a prize. The deadline is 12 September.
Louise Fetigan, founder of Little Troopers, said: “Once again we are on the hunt for real-life photos that encapsulate military life and celebrate the unique relationship that Armed Forces parents share with their children.
“This is the eighth year we have run the search and we have been privileged to share some truly treasured moments. These photos bring to life what our charity is all about, which is to champion and support our wonderful little troopers. It’s our favourite time of year and we can’t wait to see everyone’s entries for the 2020 calendar.”
Support at school and bedtime
Previous images that have been selected include a homecoming welcome, a garrison preschool class and a child waving to their parent during a military parade.

This is the latest online activity by Little Troopers, which last month launched a digital resource to help primary schools support children
of serving personnel. The aim is to help children consider their feelings about issues of separation, deployment and moving home.
The charity has also launched a story time app
, which enables parents serving away from their families to record their face and voice reading a bedtime story.
