Free online guide introduces heritage organisations to developing digital events

More and more organisations are pivoting to virtual events, but knowing where to start can be challenging. If you’re thinking of holding digital (or partially digital) Heritage Open Days events, but don’t know where to begin, this guide is perfect for you. Andrew Henderson from Heritage Open Days has shared this handy guide, and it has a Creative Commons license too.

The guide takes you through just some of the ways in which you can create meaningful and engaging online experiences, looking at both digital substitutes for traditional Heritage Open Days events, as well as some more experimental methods.

The guide is aimed at beginners, so doesn’t require any previous professional training or expensive equipment; all that’s needed are creative ideas and a bit of trial and error.
