As a core part of its programme, the Heritage Digital project is looking for volunteers to share stories of digital skills success from across the sector that add context to our four training strands of digital comms, digital marketing strategy, digital rights and digital tech.
Heritage Expert volunteers will have the opportunity to share their experience and success stories in embedding a digital dimension to their corner of the heritage sector. Their input is crucial to the programme in inspiring others from the sector to see achievable goals presented by similar organisations (either by size, location or heritage type).
We are looking for experts from a variety of heritage organisations across the sector (from attractions managers, historic building owners, volunteers, practitioners, funders, researchers and more). You might have one great success story you want to share (for example a successful social media campaign, a digital fundraising appeal or the integration of a digital strategy or technology in your organisation) or you might have worked across digital and heritage throughout your career. In both cases, we want to hear from you.
We anticipate each Heritage Expert will spend between 5-10 hours engaging voluntarily throughout the life of the programme (between July 2020 and August 2021), which could take the form of one or more of the following:
