Join the Heritage Digital team for our new project

With further funding by the Heritage Fund, the Heritage Digital consortium are elevating their existing UK wide programme. This will be done by answering some of the most frequent questions raised by the sector on finding, creating and sharing digital content. These tailored resources will be available for small-medium heritage organisations who want to engage with digital confidently.

Possible topics that will be covered range from best practices for finding free content to understanding how to update and reuse digital content. Resources that will be offered to heritage organisations span how-to guides, infographics, and videos.

To equip and support these organisations for the future, the Heritage Alliance are looking for a freelancer to fill the position of Programme Manager.

About the role

The contract period for this role runs from June 2021 to May 2022. The Heritage Alliance is looking for someone who has experience in managing and evaluating NLHF funded projects, as well as experience in digital resource creation and delivery of sector support activities.

The list of requirements for this role can be broken down into the following:

• Project Management – from budgeting and producing payment requests, to coordinating, chairing and minuting project steering group meetings.
• Consultation – Researching specific questions arising from the heritage sector about digital content and finding heritage stakeholders for resource user-testing.
• Resources Programming and Commissioning – Includes designing a programme of resources based on research in the sector and providing roadmaps to help heritage organisations plan their journey.
• Marketing – Networking and promoting the new project’s resources through Heritage Alliance channels.
• Evaluation – Tracking metrics to monitor impact and evaluate the project with relevant teams.
• Reporting – Producing progress and engagement reports.

The submission deadline for this position is on Friday 21 May 2021, and the shortlist announcement will follow on the 26th May 2021. Interviews will be held on the Friday 28 May 2021.
