On 14th July, the Heritage Digital consortium will be hosting our third big online event, #HeritageDigitalNow - this time on the topic of Digital Storytelling. Why should you sign up?
If you’ve attended either of our consortium’s previous two virtual days, you’ll know that we try and pack in as much useful and usable learning as possible, and this time is no different.
We’re welcoming back popular trainers Andrew Davis, Naomi Korn and James Berg, as well as hosting a panel of sector experts on using digital tech to tell stories. National Lottery Heritage Fund CEO Ros Kerslake CBE will be kicking off the day with a welcome talk about their commitment to digital skills, and we have an exciting keynote from Christelle Pellecuer of Razana Afrika.
These are the key topics you can expect to hear about on the day:
The day will run from 9:15am to 2:15pm. Following feedback, we’ve factored in a good coffee or lunch comfort break halfway through so that you can move away from the screen. All sessions will have Closed Captions enabled and every learning session will be recorded for watching back after the event.
This event is open to the whole of the UK heritage sector, including charities, private, independent and voluntary-run organisations, but it will be particularly relevant for small to medium-sized organisations and/or those working with a small, or no, budget.
Heritage Digital, the National Lottery Heritage Fund supported programme run by The Heritage Alliance, Charity Digital, Media Trust and Naomi Korn Associates is creating high-quality free digital skills training resources between July 2020 and July 2021.
The programme is open to the entire UK heritage sector; that means all heritage types across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, whether they are charities, private, independent or volunteer-run. Freelancers in the sector and furloughed staff are welcome to attend. This event, like all of our resources, is completely free.
