Changing email platforms, or even using one for the first time, has its challenges. What features will you need? How user-friendly is it? What support does the platform offer for staff and how will it actually help you to achieve your goals? Sometimes, you just want a full, interactive overview of the platform to help you decide. Well... look no further!

In this workshop, successful candidates will participate in an in-depth masterclass hosted by Charity Digital’s very own Elizabeth Carter. She works with clients every day to help them shape their email marketing and run successful campaigns. With over 12 years’ experience, Elizabeth will be using her knowledge of the Charity Digital Mail platform to cover the email marketing basics for beginners. She’ll cover topics such as common layouts, design tips and creating clickable content, as well as things like understanding metrics, tracking and reporting your campaigns. The workshop will also cover:

  • Understanding the anatomy of an email
  • Building and growing your email lists
  • How to avoid spam traps
  • Email timings: when and how often?
  • Accessibility with email designs
  • Regular interactive Q&As with the trainer
  • Sharing stories about how other charities are using email marketing
  • GDPR, Brexit and data storage

Who is this workshop for?

  • Those with low technology expertise
  • Charity professionals who have little – no experience using email marketing platforms and wouldn’t consider themselves ‘tech-savvy’
  • Micro (<£10K income) - Small (£10-100K income) sized charities who are looking to build their email marketing
  • Those interested in using an email marketing platform, but want to know the basics first
  • Those who have struggled with email marketing in the past and haven’t been seeing results on their campaigns
