🧠 Who’s it for?
To participate in this course, you will need to have both the web and desktop version of Power BI installed. The free versions which come with Microsoft 365 as standard are suitable for everything apart from the publication section which requires a paid Power BI pro licence. Everything is available via the Microsoft store and they offer a free trial for the paid version so you can give it a whirl before taking the plunge.
We will send step by step details of how to access Power BI in advance of the course. Power BI is not available as a desktop version for Macs at the moment and the Power BI service doesn’t have enough functionality to do what we need, so if you use a Mac, this course is not for you. However, if you have IT support and they can install Windows on your Mac like a virtual machine - this might be a work around for you.
Although this is an introductory Power BI course, a good knowledge of Excel and an understanding of creating charts and graphs is essential as Power BI is a complex programme to learn.
