Roundtable: Building strong data foundations before AI
In today’s rapidly changing world, data is more important than ever to charities. It empowers them improve services, tailor campaigns, and, ultimately, boost impact. Yet, a recent study found that a third of charities said they were poor at or not using data to inform decision-making in 2024 – a missed opportunity, given that almost half of charities said that using data to improve operations or services was a priority.
This missed opportunity comes at a time when charities are facing increasing pressure to demonstrate impact and maximise their resources. And with artificial intelligence (AI) only intensifying the need for charities to get to grips with their data, the sector must prioritise the development of robust data strategies that are fit-for-purpose.
This roundtable session, in partnership with data transformation consultancy Simpson Associates – a Microsoft Partner of the Year, is designed to help charities navigate these challenges. We will explore sector trends, delve into data best practices, and guide you in formulating a clear data strategy and roadmaps for success. We will also explore practical challenges you face in implementing these strategies.
Attendees will come together to share early successes and learn from other charity leaders in the sector facing similar challenges. You will learn from industry experts, including insights from the British Heart Foundation and Microsoft. Whether you’re just starting your data journey or seeking to refine your existing approach, join us at Resource for London to discover how to build a strong data foundation for your charity in preparation for the AI era.
To ensure attendees get the most out of the session, we recommend it for charity professionals working closely with digital and data, in roles such as Chief Data Officer, CIO, or Head of Digital.
