Roundtable: Securing charities – A layered approach to cyber security

This afternoon roundtable event, in partnership with Wanstor, will explore the importance of a layered cyber security approach for charities, looking at what the different layers involve, challenges and solutions in implementation, and cost-effective strategies for strengthening our cyber approaches. 

The event will begin with a keynote presentation, using real-world examples, followed by in-depth discussions among attendees on security layers, including endpoint security, data security, and incident response. Attendees will be able to ask questions of Wanstor’s Head of Cyber Security Vlad Birgauanu and will receive information on further reading, training, and available support. 

The event will conclude with a gin tasting session featuring an introduction to 3 different types of gin and their flavors, offering a relaxed setting to discuss cybersecurity topics further (non-alcoholic options will be available).

Discussion topics will include:

• The different layers of security you can implement
• Challenges and solutions in implementing cybersecurity layers  
• Legal and regulatory considerations (incl data protection)

Please note: this roundtable is taking place online. The session is open to all charities but the discussion will be most suited to those in IT positions at larger organisations.
