We outline the deals and discounts available on the Charity Digital Exchange, including some that cost no money at all
It’s no secret that times are hard in 2022, particularly for charities who are balancing rising demand for services with rising costs.
Fortunately, when it comes to purchasing the technology that can help deliver and optimise services, the Charity Digital Exchange can help. The Charity Digital Exchange works closely with technology partners, including Microsoft, Avast, and Amazon, to provide discounted and donated technology to eligible charities.
To date, we’ve helped more than 68,000 charities to save in excess of £260 million on technology investments – and this Black Friday, we intend to help them save even more.
Whether it’s improving your online meetings with better video conferencing solutions or getting 8,000 free emails with our email service, the Exchange has a Black Friday deal that can help you get the technology you need for less.
We’ve outlined some of the best deals available below.
For a limited time, eligible non-profits in the UK can request up to 15 donated Meta Portal devices through Charity Digital, at no cost to their organisation.
Meta Portal devices are smart displays used for video calling. With an HD camera that automatically pans and zooms as you move and adjusts to your lighting, a Meta Portal can transform meetings and improve connectivity between colleagues.
Using a Portal device can also free up your computer for other tasks – so no more juggling between windows to get everything down.
To apply for a Meta Portal, charities must be a member of the Charity Digital Exchange (if not yet registered, you can register here). The offer expires on 23 December 2022 and you can find out more about the deal here.
Charities looking to enhance their cyber security are in luck as there’s an extra 20% off Avast Business Secure Web Gateway on the Charity Digital Exchange.
Avast Business Secure Web Gateway is a cloud-based web security programme that blocks web threats before they get into your network.
Charities can secure their network traffic without the complexity and cost of additional proxy servers and on-premise appliances.
Once you have placed your order, a Charity Digital Customer Service representative will set your licenses up for you and send over logins on how to access your product.
There is also an additional Black Friday discount on Charity Digital’s Essential Cyber Security Bundle, which you can view here.
Dell’s Black Friday deals see massive reductions off laptops, desktops, monitors, servers, and accessories. Charities can get 20% off all accessories, 10% of all monitors, and 10% off selected desktops, and much more, using discount codes available through the Charity Digital Exchange.
Once users request this offer through Charity Digital, they’ll pay Dell Technologies directly for any discounted products they purchase. Charity Digital Exchange members can apply the discount codes to any of Dell’s Black Friday deals for extra savings. The codes cannot be used alongside other code promotions.
All they need to do is paste their discount code at the Dell checkout or by referencing them offline via one of our Dell’s advisors. Ensure you make the Dell advisor aware of your discount code.
The Black Friday discount codes are valid until 4 December 2022.
Charity Digital’s email service makes email marketing easy – and for Black Friday, we want to make it even easier.
Any organisation that signs up to the dotdigital platform (through which Charity Digital Mail offers personalised support tailored to your email marketing needs) can claim 8,000 free emails so they can continue to reach their supporters and beneficiaries as needed.
All charities need to do to make the most of this offer is email charitymailsupport@charitydigital.org.uk by 30 November 2022 stating you would like to claim the "Black Friday dotdigital offer", and we will be in contact to set you up with an account.

Whether or not it’s Black Friday, there are always great free resources you can access through Charity Digital. Here are two more highlights below.
Adobe Express is an online and mobile app for creating custom marketing materials, including social graphics, videos, and more. Through the Charity Digital Exchange, charities can gain free access for up to ten devices for one year.
The software’s pre-built templates and access to stock images allow you to create a variety of content without requiring any graphic design experience. It also allows charities to schedule their social media posts easily – all completely for free.
The Google for Nonprofits programme offers qualified organisations access to free versions of paid Google products and special features designed for charities and nonprofits.
The programme offers organisations free access to the G-Suite, including Gmail, Google Docs, Spreadsheets, and Presentation, and more. Eligible charities can also receive up to £7,500 in Google adverts through Google Ad Grants, meaning that their website appears at the top of relevant Google searches.
To register your charity for Google for Nonprofits, you will need a Charity Digital Exchange account and a Google account (this could be a Gmail account or the one you use for YouTube, for example). You can find out more about the programme here.
