Share the love and support some of our favourite LGBT+ charities this Pride month
Pride month. It’s the better-known cousin of LGBT+ History month and, on the whole, features more flags, more dancing, and much, much more glitter.
In 2022, the London Pride Parade will mark its 50th anniversary of the first LGBT+ rights march in the British capital on Saturday 2 July, with a parade from Marble Arch to Embankment.
But there are plenty of ways to get involved with Pride month that don’t involve marching. LGBT+ charities across the U.K. (and the globe) are coming together to promote and celebrate a more equal, more diverse world, both on and offline.
To celebrate, we’ve compiled a list of some of our favourite LGBT+ charities. Find out how you can get involved and show your support below.
Pride in London is a not-for-profit organisation run by a group of around 150 volunteers. In support of their mission to “provide a celebration of LGBT+ life and a platform to continue the fight for equality and to challenge prejudice”, they run the UK’s biggest and most diverse Pride parade and city-wide festival every year.
While this year’s celebrations promise to be bigger and better than ever, Pride is more than just a parade. Find out how you can get involved and support Pride in London.
