This free digital resource from charity partners, Blackbaud Europe, helps charities plan their 2021 fundraising campaigns around key dates
Charity partners and cloud software specialists, Blackbaud Europe, have created a new downloadable 2021 Giving Days calendar.
This free digital resource provides a fundraising planning aid for charities. It pinpoints key giving dates in each month, as well as information on month-long initiatives like Veganuary or Women’s History Month, in a way that is designed to help fundraisers plan their appeals.
The calendar also includes the dates of major events, such as the rescheduled Olympic and Paralympic opening ceremonies, Euro 2020, and Mental Health Awareness Week.
This resource has been designed to help charities plan their fundraising campaigns around key dates that are aligned with their cause, as well as to avoid busy periods that could make it more difficult for their messages to get attention. The tool is fully editable and downloadable, meaning it can be worked on collaboratively across teams and updated as needed.
Marketing Manager Phil Hunt said: “Last year we saw a great response to our Giving Days digital wall planner and the physical desk calendar we released. Unfortunately, lots of fundraisers’ plans were seriously impacted by COVID-19, and the tools we’d released went out of date as events were postponed or calendars were left behind in offices during the shift to remote working.
So this year we decided to turn our wall planner into an editable pdf, meaning teams can download the template, save it in a shared location, and work together to populate their plans even if they’re not together in the office. It also means it’s easier to add, remove or bump plans a few weeks down the line as circumstances change just by copying and pasting between the calendar’s different cells.”
