The Charity Digital Code of Practice is launching a new resource today: a COVID-19 digital checklist to support the charity digital leaders who are steering the sector in this difficult time
The new resource will help charity trustees and leaders make better decisions about digital, assess progress and unite colleagues around common goals during the COVID-19 crisis.
The checklist aims to help charity trustees and leaders make the right digital decisions, evaluate key decisions, assess progress so far and create a consistent understanding of their charity’s digital goals
This free online resource is aligned with recommendations in The Charity Digital Code of Practice but focuses on the issues identified about the primary digital support needs for charities during COVID-19.
Leadership is one of the key themes of the Code. This checklist will help to continue to encourage charity leaders and trustees to incorporate digital activity into strategy and governance.
The checklist breaks down into seven categories:
1.) Remote Working
2.) Services
3.) People
4.) Fundraising
5.) Governance
6.) Strategy
7.) Resources
Each of these categories contains a range of more specific guidance, covering everything from helping to support remote workers in managing their mental health to pivoting fundraising and service delivery towards digital strategies.
The great thing about this new checklist is that it’s accessible to everyone. It is a tool which can bring an understanding of digital to the entire Board, giving them everything they need to understand what they should be aiming to achieve and how to go about it.
