We breakdown the most important statistics from our cyber security survey, in partnership with the National Cyber Security Centre
In 2021, we asked UK charities how they felt about cyber security in their organisation – and the findings were illuminating.
The report discovered, for example, that while 98% of charities believed cyber security was important, they only ranked it as their third biggest priority, after service delivery and fundraising.
The report also revealed that there is a disparity between how charities of different sizes address their cyber security needs. This is down to available resource but also likely a result of how smaller charities perceive the risk from cyber attacks.
Micro charities were less likely to say they dealt with sensitive user data and one third believed their organisation would be unaffected in the event of a cyber breach.
