The charity sector has faced crisis after crisis in the past few years. The pandemic gave way to economic crisis, which led to a Cost-of-Living crisis, which created a Cost-of-Giving crisis. The sector has proved its resilience, facing crises head-on, and digital played a significant role in that fight.
Digital provided solution after solution. It helped charities switch to remote working, reduce costs, extend reach, improve agility, boost return on investment, meet user needs despite increased demands, and much more. Indeed, for some charities, digital transformation proved key to survival.
But a reluctance towards digital lingers. Perhaps the sector’s historical aversion to tech partly explains that reluctance, but various other factors play a role and myriad challenges inform that reluctance. It’s vital that we not only identify those challenges, but also identify how these challenges are impacting the sector and the best ways to overcome them.
We need to understand what digital means to charities in the long-term, the challenges that are preventing tech adoption, and the many ways that charities are approaching digital transformation.
In short, we need a better understanding. That’s why Charity Digital and Total Enterprise Solutions (TES), are launching a ground-breaking survey to help charities better understand our use of digital.
The survey, Embracing digital: The future of the charity sector, will explore the past, present, and future of digital transformation, gaining a wide view of the progress made and the progress we need to make. It will explore how charities prioritise and strategise, how they plan and prepare for digital, and how they aim to improve performance.
The survey takes roughly ten minutes and the results will help to guide the sector towards greater digital implementation and help us build digital resilience. It will improve digital problem-solving and decision-making. It will finesse our ability to find the right tech solutions. It will, in short, help the charity sector to thrive.
Not only this, but entrants will also be entered into a draw with the chance to win a £50 Amazon voucher. And, on top of that, entrants will gain the chance to attend a fantastic TES workshop scheduled for November 2023, subject to availability.
