If we are receiving emails from Exchange at Charity Digital, does that mean we have an account already?
Not necessarily. Anyone can sign up to Charity Digital Exchange to receive our newsletter. You can contact customerservice@charitydigital.org.uk and provide your charities details and we can check if you are registered. To receive our content newsletters, you can register by clicking here.
Are there any grant finding solutions that we can access through Charity Digital Exchange?
Many of our partners, such as Microsoft and Google provide grants in the form of software. For grants in the form of funds – there are no services regarding this on the Exchange
Are there ’seat’ options for Adobe products, for management, rather than individual licenses?
No, Adobe currently provide charitable discounts on licenses that install on a device or individual cloud plans only.
Do organisations need to be registered with charity commission to benefit from charity digital membership?
No, organisations can hold charitable status directly with the HMRC – this is the most popular options for organisations to gain charitable status without reaching the £5k threshold set by the Charity Commission
Is there still a discount available for Google Non profit workspace? What is the process to apply?
Yes! Please sign up to Charity Digital Exchange. Once your organisation has been validated, you can generate a ‘validation token’ from your Exchange account which can be used towards your Google application.
Is the Exchange exclusively for charities or is it also open to constituted community groups/social enterprises/Not for profits etc.
The majority of our partners require that organisations based in the UK hold charitable status to be considered for their nonprofit/charitable discounts. However, there are some really great offers available to nonprofit organisations:
We have been granted 10 licences for Microsoft 365 through the Microsoft nonprofits website, is that different to the licences that charity digital can offer? or the same?
We provide the Microsoft nonprofit Cloud subscriptions as well as Microsoft on-premise licenses. In some cases, we can provide a further discount on top of the nonprofit discount provided by Microsoft.
We think we have had various accounts with software for charities providers and we are a little confused by which still exists! How are you related to TT-Exchange? And "CTX- Charity software"?
To put it simply, TT-Exchange and CTX- Charity are both us! We have had several re-brands over our existence.
Do you do training/help on transitioning from Windows 10 to 365 or similar please?
Windows 10 is an operating system whilst 365 is Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel etc. If you are moving from on-premise licenses to Cloud subscriptions we can provide Value Added Service options (depending on your current setup). There are also training options provided by our partners at TechSoup, as well as lots of content on Charity Digital in the form of past webinars and articles.
