They help you to encourage individual supporters or volunteers to fundraise on your behalf.

Although viral campaigns live in the ether, they can be massively valuable. Digital fundraising done right
A number of charities are embracing digital fundraising and could show you the way.
The men’s health charity Movember partnered with Tik Tok and are expanding fundraising efforts beyond the November moustache growing campaign. They teamed up with short-form video platform TiKTok and encouraged supporters to upload videos of themselves showing off their moustaches or sharing what the charity means to them. TikTok pledged to donate £1 up to a maximum of of £10,000 for each video using the hashtag #Movember.
WWF UK’s online tribute fund website invites supporters to set up a fundraising page in tribute to a loved one. The campaign began after WWF UK members contacted the charity about how to donate in memory of a friend or family member. The site encourages donors to share tribute pages and fundraising updates on their own social media to further personalise and amplify the campaign.
WaterAid’s 360-degree interactive digital experience invites visitors to their website to view short films, photos and read about a Madagascan family as they collect water, prepare food and dig a well. The appeal aims to raise £2m and increases engagement by allowing supporters to gain an insight into why their money is needed and how it helps the people in the communities where WaterAid works.
