We’ve created an easy-to-follow infographic to help you plan your end of year fundraising campaign
2020 is a year of firsts. It’s the first-time full offices are working remotely. Many organisations are running virtual events for the first time. And charities are starting to plan for a totally digital end-of-year fundraising campaign, many of them for the first time.
COVID-19 turned fundraising on its head. More than 50% of charities had to cancel or postpone events and a further 65% anticipate money raised from challenges to decrease by the end of this year.
December has historically been the biggest month of the year for giving. The recent Blackbaud Charitable Giving Report showed that 35% of online giving took place in the last three months of 2019. 18% of all giving took place in December alone and this year is expected to follow suit.
Earlier this month we released a report from Blackbaud UK that highlighted the importance of investing in your end of year campaign plan. Not only is creating an engaging and successful end of year campaign plan a great way to wave goodbye to 2020, but it’s also the ideal moment to engage both existing donors, lapsed donors and prospects.
So, we thought we’d help make the planning process easier. We took Blackbaud’s report and created an easy-to-follow infographic that you can share with colleagues and print off for your notice board, fridge or bedroom wall.
