A training provider has linked up with an international development charity to offer free online course places.
Utopy is offering free places next year on its part time Charity Fast-Track
training course, which is aimed at those looking to gain entry-level skills in the charity sector.

Child.org has agreed to sponsor the £600 course fee for successful applicants. For its 2019 course 250 places will be offered, with more than 400 applicants expected.
Those enrolled gain access to the course’s online platform and also take part in residential boot camps and marketing, fundraising and campaigning challenges.
Unicef among charities involved
Charity professionals involved in delivering the course are from organisations including Unicef, Cancer Research and Amnesty UK.
“We’re excited to be opening applications for 2019. The course has gone from strength to strength under the brilliant guidance of Child.org,” said Emma Whelan, Managing Director at Utopy.
“Utopy has ambitions to develop additional partnerships to be able to offer the course to more students.”
Aimee, who completed the course in 2017, said: “Since becoming involved in the course, I’ve helped run a friend's pub quiz, organised a 15k Walkathon, and planned a swap-shop event.
This practical experience has been absolutely key – it has equipped me with real life, tangible skills, given me plenty to talk about in interviews, and made me feel so much more confident in my own ability.”
