The online world can be exclusionary and exploitative. Hostility and a general lack of safety can prevent fair and free access. These barriers exist particularly for people in marginalized or vulnerable positions.
They are often targeted, with the expressed aim of exclusion, through various methods: Online gender-based violence, cyberstalking, and cyberbullying Trolling on social media, misinformation campaigns, Censorship and surveillance, and so much more.
