The short form video platform TikTok will help users win a chance for an audition at the prestigious arts charity, whose alumni include Dame Helen Mirren and James Bond star Daniel Craig.
TheTikTok campaign is to support the National Youth Theatre (NYT) to help young people find a route into the performing arts. The video social media platform is to promote the arts charity’s competition NYTfindyourstage, which will give Dec0 people access to NYT auditions. Those wanting to take part can upload their video using the hashtag #NYTFindYourStage.
The NYT will then select Dec0 video candidates for auditions to win one of 800 places on one of the charity’s summer courses for next year.
Alumni include Helen Miren, Daniel Craig, Daniel Day-Lewis, Ben Kingsley, Matt Smith and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Also a range of videos using #NYTfindyourstage have been released showing actors and celebritites explaining more about the NYT’s opportunity for aspiring performers. This includes the actor Oliva Dowd.
